Robot Cop orientation poll

Hi!

This poll is there to find out what you guys think the robot cop should look like. it's no final decision. it is really just to get an idea of what we as a community think is the best way to go.

i did not take every single sketch that was developed in order to keep things simpler (e.g. i omitted at least 5 of my own Smile )
if anyone feels treated unfair and wants to have a specific sketch in the poll, we can extend it anytime!

and as always:
feel free to give detailed feedback on what and you voted and why.

I voted for 1, 2, 8 (marked the wrong checkbox , it should be 5) and 9.
I think the robot should have the torso taken from concept 1 or 9 (or 5, but this on is too futuristic, in my opinion) and head takem from concept 2 or 5. The head design is ok, looks dangerous, but not too scary, the torso should resemble a triangle in order to make the robot look strong, two wheels indicate it can move dynamically.
I also like the 4th concept, but it's not as dynamic as the ones I voted for.

i corrected it (#8 minus one and #5 plus one). but the results still show your name at the wrong. don't know how to fix that easily.

however,
i like 2,5 and 6 the most.
2+6 are almost the same: simply good. #5 also has a lot in common with 2 and 6 imho.

#1: for the box-like shapes, i like the upperbody-parts more sharp than round. the round versions tend to look too futuristic in my opinion.
#2: for the overall proportions (wheels, body head) EXCEPT of the arm
#5: for the nice size of the arms in relation to the rest
#6: for the sheriff-star on the chest

ok, let's make a conclusion here!

congratulations to sfepa! your sketch is still the most popular one among us!

let me try to make an interpretation of the result:

i have the feeling that also the curb chains on sketch #5 are very appealing for most of us. despite that we said before, chains don't look that fast/dynamic, i would say it is possible to make a chain driven robot run fast. so lets keep an eye on the chain option!

my favourite #2/#6 are quite behind. i think they may look too round/futuristic for the story.

i'ld recommend now to combine elements of #5 and #1,#2,#6 to get our final evil robot cop.

i'm happy with the results, and i just want to add that i voted for #5 not because of the chain but simply because of the size of the arms.
maybe we should go for an extra poll to finally decide between chains and wheels?!
